The Vancouver data foundry
Data Forge is a data-engineering and analytics studio — not a data marketplace, not a lifestyle product because of our domain, and not a training academy. We sit on Howe Street in downtown Vancouver and forge pipelines, warehouse models, decision dashboards and AI-ready retrieval foundations for Canadian organizations who are tired of arguing about which spreadsheet is correct.
What we forge
Our work spans data engineering, predictive analytics, machine learning foundations, generative AI data layers and DataOps — always as custom professional services for client organizations. We integrate with your existing cloud or on-premise infrastructure, respect PIPEDA and BC privacy obligations, and document every assumption in writing before production deployment.
"Forge" describes how we treat raw data: heated by scrutiny, shaped under governance, cooled into structures people can trust. It does not mean we sell metalwork, cryptocurrency tokens or a database of strangers' personal records. The .life in dataforge.life is branding — not a wellness tracker or quantified-self platform.

How the bench is staffed
Data Forge is built around senior engineers who have cleaned up warehouses at 2 a.m. and lived to write the post-mortem. We do not inflate the team page with fabricated credentials or invented awards. When you work with us, the people in your discovery calls are the people who review your pipeline pull requests.
Our practice favours small, focused squads: a lead data engineer, an analytics specialist and a project coordinator who keeps scope visible. Specialists in retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), MLOps and API integration join when the roadmap requires them — not as permanent overhead on your invoice.
We believe applied AI only works when the data underneath is honest. That means data quality checks, drift monitoring, human-in-the-loop review for high-stakes outputs, and plain-language documentation your internal team can maintain after we hand off.

Every deployment we touch includes data governance guardrails appropriate to the risk level: access controls, audit trails, retention policies and escalation paths when automated systems surface uncertain results. We document where machine learning or large language models (LLMs) influence decisions and where humans must remain accountable.
We do not guarantee model accuracy, zero hallucinations, cost savings, revenue growth or that our pipelines will replace your staff. Outcomes depend on data quality, project scope, infrastructure and how your organization adopts the tooling. We tell you that upfront — because interesting engineering starts with honest limits.
